The Exclusive Toyota Yaris 2024 Upcoming Future Plan

Unfortunately, there is no confirmation or news about Toyota Yaris 2024. In case you don’t know it, Yaris is the smallest ride (from Toyota) that is released in Australia and Asia. It is categorized as the light and small car segment, which is having a ‘threat’ because of the increasing SUV sales. In Australia alone, some of the cheap small rides, such as Holden Barina, Ford Fiesta, Honda Jazz, and Nissan Micra, have been ‘dead’. Will the Toyota Yaris 2024 experience the same fate?

About Yaris

Yaris has just got a renewed project in 2020, which makes the 2021 Yaris SX quite new and set as a carry-over model. In fact, it is quite sophisticated (in terms of technology) for a small and light ride. Toyota is adding up some hybrid models, making Yaris one of the most fuel efficient rides within its category. Yaris’ main rivals now are Skoda Fabia, Kia Rio, VW Polo, and Mazda 2. Unfortunately, the segment is declining in its offerings and also sales.

In terms of price, you should expect increase because of the addition of modern comfort and safety features. The current Yaris is set at around $27,000, which is a huge increase from the previous $19,000 tag price. But the price increase is worth it because Yaris now has keyless entry, Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, live traffic updates and satellite navigation, LED lighting, good speaker system, auto headlights, digital instrument display, a reversing camera, and others.

There are also different color options available, including Scarlet, Crystal Pearl, Atomic Rush, Silver Pearl, Bronx Bronze, Coral Rose, Electric Green, Lunar Blue, Cherry Blossom, and Eclectic Blue. These colors are available if you are willing to spend $575 extra. If you are happy with the standard colors, there are only Ebony and Glacier White.

Powertrain and Performance

The 2021 Yaris offers two options for the powertrain. There would be petrol three cylinder unit with 1.5 liter capacity that is paired with CVT. It is able to generate 88 kW and 145 Nm of torque. This unit alone is tough and satisfying. You should be able to cruise around the city quite comfortably, with warm vibe and characterful effect.

If you want the hybrid power, you can get one with extra $2,000. It runs on the same engine, but this one is paired with an electric motor and a (small) battery pack (the 0.8 kWh type) for better economy and performance. This hybrid unit even comes with a more superior fuel consumption.

The Upcoming Yaris?

What we have now is only the 2021 Yaris, and there is no information from Toyota about the Toyota Yaris 2024 model – or whether they are going to produce one. If the 2021 model is a hint, then you can at least expect the Toyota Yaris 2024 model to be better, more efficient, and more satisfying. If Toyota continues doing the good job (which they have done quite well in the past years), then they should be fine and Toyota Yaris 2024 remains one of the most promising lines ever produced. If there is any news about Toyota Yaris 2024, you should know it soon.

QnA

Q: Will the Toyota Yaris be discontinued?

A: The 2020 model year will be the final one for both the Yaris and the Yaris Hatchback because they have both been discontinued. Your neighborhood Toyota Care Center will still provide excellent service if you currently own a Yaris or Yaris Hatchback.

Q: Why Yaris is discontinued?

A: Even in a C-segment sedan category that was already in decline, the Yaris was unable to claim superiority in terms of appearance and feature set. Toyota cited changing customer needs as one of the reasons for the decision in the statement confirming the termination of the Yaris.
