Powertrain and Performance
It’s possible that the Tacoma would be using four-cylinder turbocharged unit. There is also an optional V6 unit with 3.5 liter capacity, delivering 278 hp. Toyota is thinking about including a unit with 2.4 liter capacity, generating 275 hp for Lexus NX350. It’s possible that hybrid system is available for the Tundra, which means that it would be likely available for Tacoma. The standard transmission would be automatic, but hopefully there is manual gearbox for the upcoming Tacoma. We should wait further for 2024 ev Tacoma updates.
